Welcome to the White Horse, York The White Horse is a traditional style public
house which lies at the very heart of York. The White Horse has been trading in York since 1770, and has recently
been taken over by Dan and Racheal Murphy in January 2007. We pride ourselves on a fine and growing reputation
for providing excellent service, good beer, fine wines, all presented in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Running a lodging establishment takes a great deal of time and dedication. It can often be a twenty-four-hour a day job
and customer satisfaction is extremely important.
We hope that our site will increase our effectiveness in meeting
new customers and responding to existing ones. We'll include information on our accommodations and rates, and update the
site regularly with special offers and seasonal packages.
Wi-fi is now available throughout the pub and the letting
bedrooms. So if you are needing to catch up on some work, or just wanting to do some surfing on your lap top, ask at the bar
for the latest password and you can connect completely free of charge.
We have three real ales on tap, Lancaster
Bomber (a CAMRA award winning real ale) and Thwaites Wainwright on permanently, a guest which rotates every couple of weeks
(including Nutty Black which has won the mild category twice). Our draught bitters are Thwaites Smooth and Thwaites Keg. The
lagers on draught consist of Carling, Coors Light, Carlsberg export, and two Bavarian lagers - Warsteiner and Kaltenberg.
The draught cider is Kingstone press which is a traditional premium dry cider brewed in Herefordshire. We also serve Guinness, which
we have been told is the best in York. There is also a large range of bottled beers on offer.
